Very early in the morning view from the converted stables of a Marlborough former coaching inn

 

Neglected sign post on the A4 between Marlborough and Newbury

 

The name remains of the halfway point on the coach road

 

Modern signs often don't have the mileage anymore - it doesn't matter so much for the car driver

 

Incredibly, the Newbury bypass has a cycle track

 

Back on the towpath as it becomes a jungle

 

Then a one tyre track

 

And finally a field

 

But towpaths and cycle tracks can be got right

 

Hmm ... very cycle friendly
